Abstract:


This study is entitled:(The Level of Journalists' Commitment to the Principles of Ethics and Media Law in the Kurdistan Region). The type of this research is descriptive in which mix method was used. Its subjects are 200 randomly selected journalists who work in modern media in the Kurdistan Region.


This research aims to understand the reasons for the level of journalists' non-compliance with the principles of


ethics and media law in the Kurdistan Region, as well as to find out why journalists don’t comply with ethics and media law in the Kurdistan Region.


The importance of this research is to reduce social problems, which have been affected by irresponsible and non-academic media, increase the level of journalists' adherence to media ethics and law in the Kurdistan Region, reduce media problems, and increase the quality of media messages on media channels, especially in modern media.


This study has come to several conclusions, including the level of journalists' commitment to ethics and media law in the Kurdistan Region is weak. One of the obstacles to journalists' adherence to the principles of ethics and media law in the Kurdistan Region is some of the media outlets in Kurdistan are not familiar with the principles of ethics and media law.
