Abstract

This research examines the diverse structure of society during the Safavid era، focusing on ethnic، religious، and class divisions. The study reveals that Safavid society was a mosaic of various ethnicities، including Persians (Tajiks)، Turkmens (Qizilbash)، Kurds، Arabs، and minorities such as Armenians and Jews. In addition to identifying the seven primary Qizilbash tribes، the paper analyzes the social hierarchy، ranging from the ruling elite to the middle class and peasantry. Furthermore، it explores cultural aspects and daily life، such as traditional clothing، marriage customs، culinary habits، and popular festivals. A descriptive-historical method was employed to analyze the historical sources of that period.
