Abstract

This study explores the role of soft power in Turkish-Kurdistan Region relations between 2014-2024. Soft power is presented as an influential concept in shaping foreign policy and the use of its main tools in the relations between Turkey and the Kurdistan Region as two neighbors, and in light of their diverse connections. This study discusses the tools of soft power and their importance in international relations. The use of soft power has significant effects on building trust and fostering a better future in advancing relations. Research on this topic has been conducted under various titles, but due to the influence of the time factor and the emergence of new issues in relations, the degree of soft power's influence and the tools used are constantly changing. Therefore, continuous research into soft power in this area is necessary to identify the causes and variables that contribute to changes in the use of soft power tools in the foreign policy of the parties in their relations to achieve their goals and interests, which is a crucial endeavor. In this study, a detailed evaluation of these mechanisms in Turkish-Kurdistan Region relations during the specified period will be presented. For this purpose, we will discuss various tools that fall under soft power in this relationship.
