In this research, “Compliance of journalists to media ethics and factors behind readers losing trust in the Kurdish newspapers in Kurdistan Region,” the researcher will discuss ethics and media ethics in the Kurdish newspapers and has used the content analysis method to study the “Kurdistan New,” “Khabat,” and “Avro” newspapers. A content analysis has been conducted for all the editions of the three newspapers. A sample of the editions of one month in each season of the year of 2019 has been taken, their contents have been analyzed, and the factors behind readers losing trust in the newspapers have been demonstrated in a table. Also, the level of journalists’ compliance with the fundamentals of media ethics and the reasons that affect reader’s mistrust in the newspapers in Kurdistan Region have been demonstrated. To demonstrate the level of readers’ mistrust, the researcher has conducted content analysis to the newspaper genres such as news, reports, headlines, and interviews. The researcher has presented the level of noncompliance of the journalists of these newspapers and their unprofessionalism by publishing improper photos and advertisements, poor designs, and distributing articles against the standards of the profession of journalism. This field analysis demonstrates the violation of the media ethics in these three newspapers. It is determined that the journalists working in these three newspapers were not compliant with media ethics and have not performed well as presented in the tables.
