Cyberbullying on Social Networks and its Relationship to Self-awareness among Koya University Students

This research is aiming at the relationship between cyberbullying and self-awareness; and the difference between them according to gender, stages, and major of study variables. A descriptive method is used in this study; various elements were used, including, the standard deviation of cyberbullying that was prepared by the researcher, and the self-awareness standard of ( Al-Qura Ghuly, 2010) applied after verifying the stabilities and reliabilities. And mean, standard deviation, Anova, Person, T-Test were among the most important elements of this study. The study society is Koya University Students, which is (4318) students, and (647) random samples of males and females were taken.
The study reached some findings, including:
- Cyberbullying is high among Koya University students.
- Existing statistical evidence of cyberbullying level differences, according to the gender variable, to the advantage of females.
- There is no statistical evidence of cyberbullying level differences according to the study stage variable.
- There is no statistical evidence of cyberbullying level differences according to the study’s major variable.
- Self-awareness is at a high level among Koya University Students.
- There is no statistical evidence of self-awareness level differences according to gender variables.
- There is no statistical evidence of self-awareness level differences according to the study stage variable.
- There is no statistical evidence of self-awareness level differences according to the study’s major variable.
- There is a weak directional relationship between cyberbullying and self-awareness among Koya University Students.
