Conversational Implicature in theatrical texts

Abstract

Conversational Implicature is seen as an important and
pivotal issue in pragmatic research. This is because, the
existence of Implicature actually required linking the
connection and explaining facts of language, which are not
covered by general linguistic theories. This theory
originated by Grace, whose starting point was that speakers
say something in their conversations and mean something
else that is not explicitly expressed in their utterances. The
presence of different types of Implicature also shows how
complex a statement is. To understand the consequences of
speech, the speaker must have experience and knowledge
about the principles of cooperation and adherence to
detailed principles. Therefore, it can be said that the
consequence would easily be understood if the speaker share
their experience and knowledge in conversation.
