Abstract

Although Iraqi Kurdistan succeeded in a defacto manner after its 1991 uprising, it will become a legal and constitutional reality after the fall of the Iraqi regime in 2003. In terms of security, despite its local problems, it was Iraq's safest place to live, except for the region being opened globally and within the framework of federal Iraq, foreign relations expanded. The economic, security and oil sales case created relations between the region and many foreign countries, both independently and far from Baghdad' hands. Today, one of those countries has a role to play in the field of international politics, federal Russia. The researcher has seen that there is a big gap on the academy level in investigating relations between kurdistan region and federal Russia This research is important to investigate the level of relations between Russia and kurdistan region. to evaluate the kurdistan region's importance in russia's foreign policy The researcher concluded that economic and political factors have a fundamental role in developing the region's importance in Russia's foreign policy.
