To achieve these objectives, descriptive method, survey method was used, conducted on a purposive sample of 339 students of Islamic sciences in Sulaimani. The most obvious objectives of this study are:

  1. Determine the level of exposure of Islamic science students to religious television channels.

  1. 2.To find out the reasons why students of Islamic sciences rely on watching satellite channels.

  2. To know the opinion of Islamic science students towards religious discourse on satellite channels.

One of the most obvious findings of this study is that watching religious channels in an unorganized manner is part of the reason why Kurdish religious channels watch for ease and clarity in their messages and present programs in a contemporary way, in a way that helps satisfy their cognitive needs. The results also showed that there is a high orientation towards religious channels, so that programs are directed at all segments of society, and contribute to the realization of behavioral and practical changes among viewers.
